Why are prices not posted on your site?

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) implemented new regulations around advertising prescription-only medicines in the Australian cosmetic injectable industry. These guidelines prohibit the use of specific terms such as "anti-wrinkle injections" and "dermal fillers”. As a result, we can’t provide pricing details on our website or social media platforms. We understand that this may be frustrating for our clients, as it limits the information available to you when considering these treatments.

Please be assured that we are not attempting to be secretive or misleading. Our goal remains to provide you with the best possible care and information. We can offer detailed information, including pricing tailored to your specific concerns, during a complimentary face-to-face consultation.

Do I need a consultation first?

Yes. These treatments involve prescription-only medicines or medical devices, a consultation is mandatory before your first appointment. We’ll go through your medical history, treatment goals, and assess if the treatment is safe and suitable for you. Queensland Health regulations require that new patients cannot have same-day treatment with cosmetic injectables. This means your first visit will be for consultation only, and if treatment is appropriate, it can be scheduled for a later date

As a new patient, can I get treatments the same day as my consultation?

In line with the most recent QLD Health regulations, all NEW patients are required to attend a consultation prior to receiving Schedule 4 (S4) cosmetic treatments. Treatments cannot be performed on the same day as your initial consultation.

How can I prepare for my appointment?

It’s best to come well-hydrated and to have eaten beforehand. Please bring along any relevant medical history or medications you’re currently taking.

What is IV nutrient therapy?

IV nutrient therapy is a way of delivering vitamins and minerals directly into your bloodstream through a drip. This allows for almost 100% absorption, compared to only 20–50% when taken orally. It means your cells, tissues, and organs receive the nutrients they need more efficiently.

How often should I have an infusion?

This depends on your individual needs and lifestyle. Some people have a one-off infusion during times of stress, illness, or fatigue. Others choose to maintain their wellness with regular sessions every 4–6 weeks. We’ll discuss what’s right for you during your consultation.

Does it hurt?

The infusion is delivered through a small cannula (similar to a blood test). You may feel a quick pinch when it’s inserted, but most clients are comfortable during the session and use the time to relax in our lounge.

How long do results last?

This varies between people, depending on the treatment, product used, lifestyle, and metabolism. Results are always temporary. Your practitioner will discuss what’s realistic for you.

I’m pregnant or breastfeeding. Can I still get my treatment?

No. Although there is no evidence to suggest wrinkle-reduction or volumizing treatments are harmful to the baby, it is recommended that women who are pregnant or breastfeeding avoid treatment until these journeys have finished. We respect the right for any woman to make their own decisions regarding their own body and their baby, but if you answer ‘yes’ to the pregnancy or breastfeeding question in your pre-treatment medical consent form, we won’t perform these treatments.

What’s the difference between wrinkle reduction and volumizing treatments?

Volumizing treatments are made from a different formula than wrinkle reduction, and is most commonly used in the cheeks, lips, chin, and in the lines around the mouth to restore lost volume, add hydration and promote a youthful appearance.

Wrinkle reduction treatments are used to relax the muscle. This stops creases from being able to form, reducing lines and wrinkles in the skin. These products are usually used in the forehead, lines around the eyes and frown lines, although there are a range of other uses for wrinkle reduction products which you can chat with Deb to learn more when you book your consultation.

Can I have products dissolved with you?

Yes, all products used by Venus Medispa can be dissolved. If you have received treatment elsewhere and would like to have it dissolved, please book a consultation.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Debit, Cash, Afterpay, ZipPay and gift vouchers (available in store.)
